While discussing the upcoming West End revival of 'Cats', Andrew Lloyd Webber explains that a movie version of the hit musical might be on its way. The show originally opened in 1981 at the New London Theatre and ran for at the time a record-breaking 21 years and now it's returning with new compositions by Lloyd Webber. Also returning from the original production are the choreographer Gillian Lynne, the director Trevor Nunn, and the set designer John Napier. A launch event was held on Monday at the London Palladium theatre, which will house the upcoming production, and after a news conference and performance by the current touring production of 'Cats', Lloyd Webber spoke to Reuters about the new show.
