| Asamoah Gyan Accused of Being ‘Angel of Death’ Truth or Superstition? Posted: 08 Jul 2014 06:19 AM PDT  Castro and Asamoah Gyan If there is one thing you can trust Ghanaians to do, it is to look for underlying reasons for any event, no matter how innocuous. People are always looking for the hand of the spiritual in whatever issue that happens in our physical world. Therefore whenever any serious tragedy strikes, it does not take long for the conspiracy theorists to come out with their versions of what happened. No person of note can die a natural death in Ghana, and in Castro's case it has not taken long for the theory surrounding his demise to come out, and this one links several past incidents, including Castro's 'death', all to Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan. There is a post floating around on social media concerning this issue, this is the post in its entirety…
"A lil something to deliberate about… After da world cup 2006 in Germany, Asamoah Gyan threw a big party at Infinity nyt club and b4 da party came to an end. ..Isaac Vorsah’s junior brother was confirmed dead through poisoning. .. After da African cup in 2012… Asamoah Gyan was driving wit some frens to hang out and he knocked one guy down… da guy died and he sorted da family out. Da country took it as an accident. After da world cup in south Africa… same Asamoah Gyan hanged out with som frens n wen they departed one guy was involved in an accident. .. After Brazil world cup…Asamoah Gyan was said to b on a holiday with Castro n som people and now Castro and gf confirmed dead…"
The implication here is that Asamoah Gyan is somehow responsible for all these deaths, probably to fuel his wealth. As incredulous as it may seem that someone would spend their time to make this correlation, here we have it. The question now is; is it worth our time to examine it, or dismiss it for the nonsense it seems to be: truth, or superstition? There is a saying in the language, 'once is an incident, twice is a coincidence, three times is a pattern' If three is a pattern, what is four? Looking at it from that angle, one must admit it seems curious that one person would be a common denominator at all these incidents. Yet a cursory check at facts and the whole story begins to unravel. Isaac Vorsah's brother died in 2010, and reports on the location of the party remain sketchy. I remember at the time of the story people even said Vorsah was the target of the food poisoning. For the other two accidents Gyan is alleged to have been involved in, one can only classify those as hearsay. There is little information out there and statements like "he sorted out the family" are easy to make without corroboration. Castro's death is the latest tragic incident and we've already started assigning sinister motives. Lot of people have had something to say in connection with this Castro and Janet drowning issue – from friends, families, eyewitnesses, spiritualists, and a whole lot. Another person to join the train is Lordina, a cousin to Janet Bandu (the lady supposedly believed to have drowned with Castro De Destroyer) Speaking in an interview with Sammy Flex on Pluzz 89.9 FM this morning, Lordina (who was very tactful in her communication), revealed that they (family) did not know their sister Janet was at Ada. According to Lordina, Janet told her mom on Saturday (5th July, 2013) that she was going somewhere with her friends. The names of the friends, according to Lordina, were not provided by Janet. "This is something she normally does. You know she is an actor (sic) and normally people take them out to go and shoot movies or advert so it's one of those things. She goes and comes back home. She told the mom that she was going on one of those trips with her friends. She did not mention who those friends are, and she left." "On Saturday around 4pm, the mom called her and asked her why they have not come back and she said they will be back on Sunday.  Yvonne Nelson We've had a go at Yvonne Nelson and Nadia Buari in the past for their drastic weight loss—when it came to light that some of our Ghanaian Celebrities were going through extreme measures to lose weight and stay slim, copying Angelina Jolie and the rest. Nadia Buari took some advice from the talks and the concern many show, she has put back some weight and she looks normal, really healthy and beautiful. Yvonne Nelson over the years seems to be depreciating in skin value. And we understand she says she recently fell sick for some few days in Lagos—following which she took the above photo. But even before her short sickness, Yvonne Nelson had been left with only bones—as if there is no food in Ghana. Come on Yvonne, you were healthy and you looked fabulous when you started. Can you start eating some Burgers for us? Look at your arms—-you don't look attractive and healthy at all. | Posted: 08 Jul 2014 02:04 AM PDT  Castro de destroyer I think we should embrace ourselves for the fetish priests and fake pastors to take us for granted for the next few days in relation to Castro De Destroyer and Janet Bandu’s accident that took place over the weekend at Ada. Yesterday, a spiritualist who claims to be a 'Maame Water' agent told us, Castro is still alive and that he is with his 'Maame Water' wife under the sea. She even added that, Castro will come back to this world alive—that is if we stop grieving. Speaking on Adiepa Fm at Techniman in the Brong Ahafo Region, another fetish priest-Nana Katakyie has mentioned that, Castro De Destoyer came to him some years back for some 'black magic' or help to enable him become a hit music star. And that, he was supposed to come back and thank the gods after 5 years but he refused. Apparently, Nana Katayie spoke to some Fm stations two weeks ago about a pending accident which will involve Castro De Destroyer and Asamoah Gyan. Nana stated that, he tried contacting Castro several times and he kept telling him, he will come and see him when he is less busy—obviously, avoiding him. Another bull in the crap! However, let me add that, in January 2012, Castro sat in the studios of Okay FM for an interview with Abeiku Santana and accepted that, a friend visited a spiritualist for some rituals to be done on his behalf—which were done with his consent. This was after it was reported by NewsOne that Castro had gone for ‘juju’ from a powerful female spiritualist at Madina Zongo in Accra. Castro was said to have pledged 500 GHS but the ‘secret juju trip’ became news when Castro failed to pay the said amount and stopped picking calls from the spiritualist. PeaceFmOnline reported this at the time as; "When Abeiku asked Castro about the incident, he said though the issue was true, he was not the one who went to the spiritualist and that a close friend did it on his behalf. Castro revealed that it was the same friend who introduced him to the spiritualist but admitted that the rituals were done with his consent. Interestingly, Castro denied that the rituals done were 'juju. He said the place was more of a Christian church than a fetish shrine although the items that were used in the said rituals included a bottle of good quality foreign schnapps".
