Act Now! Save Conservation Funding!

Dear Ms. One,

We're down to the wire. If Congress doesn't renew the Land and Water Conservation Fund today, it will expire. And funding for hundreds of conservation projects across America will come to a halt.

Contact your member of Congress today and tell them to renew it now, before it's too late.

This program is critical -- it has protected millions of acres in nearly every county in the U.S. And it doesn't cost taxpayers a penny because it's funded with drilling fees paid by oil and gas companies.

It's exactly the kind of sensible, effective approach that people who love the outdoors like you believe in.

So please don't wait. Take a moment right now to send a message to Congress and tell them not to let the Land and Water Conservation Fund expire today.

From iconic national parks to local natural areas like those in your community, conservation projects are hanging in the balance. We can't let them be derailed. The Land and Water Conservation Fund has a 50-year track record of incredible contributions to conservation and it deserves to be renewed.

Hundreds of conservation programs across the country are at risk of coming to a standstill. Critical efforts like support for vital, working forests in upstate New York will need to be halted without this funding.

Please speak out for the lands and waters you love. Call on Congress to renew the Land and Water Conservation Fund before midnight tonight.

Thank you in advance for standing with The Nature Conservancy in defending this essential conservation program.

Sincerely,

Christie McGregor
