Series creator Ron Moore and writer Diana Gabaldon were also on hand to discuss the upcoming season. The ladies were joined by their co-star Tom Hiddleston while promoting their film Crimson Peak. During the panel director Guillermo Del Toro revealed some details about the upcoming horror film. "It's a straight gothic romance, where certain twists are a little more gender liberating," Guillermo said. He added that there'd be no twist at the end such as the haunted house being a spaceship or that the characters are actually in a TV show. It was revealed during the panel for the spin-off series that there are no plans right now to have the two series intersect. "I think [Walking Dead showrunner] Scott Gimple would kill me if I ever pitched that idea," showrunner Dave Erickson said (via EW). "It would be geographically quite complicated.
