Singers from Israel Opera take to Jerusalem's main fruit and vegetable market to promote an upcoming opera festival. Full Story: Amidst the hustle and bustle of a Jerusalem food market, is the sound of music. These are the soloists from the Israel Opera. They are performing arias from Mozart's opera, "The Marriage of Figaro" to the surprise of shoppers. [Rivka Falk, Passer-By]: "Suddenly amongst the shopping crowd here in the market, you hear a opera singer and this is odd and beautiful, so this is great that the singers were brought from the studio in here." The performance is promoting the Jerusalem Opera Festival scheduled for June 2015, explains artistic director Michael Eisenstadt. To come to the market here in 'Mahane Yehuda' which is probably not an obvious place to sing opera but opera, we believe is an art everyone can relate to, that everyone can be fascinated by."
