All 150 people on board are expected to have died. 16 of those passengers were students at this small-town German high school. They were on their way home after a Spanish exchange programme. A makeshift memorial has been set up outside the school. Newspaper headlines reflect the country's united sorrow. In Spain, other family members of those on board await news of the search efforts. Little is known at this time as to what caused the crash. Experts are analysing information from one of the cockpit voice and data recorders recovered yesterday.
