Scientists in the US and the UK have mapped the genome for the world's longest-living mammal, the bowhead whale. Now researchers have discovered the unique gene responsible for giving this whale its average lifespan of some 200 years. RT's Ben Swann asked Dr. Joao Pedro Magalhaes, the principal investigator with the University of Liverpool's Integrated Genomics of Ageing Group, if the research could lead to longer human lifespans too.
