| Posted: 12 Sep 2015 05:14 AM PDT In the early days of modern cinema, it was deeply amazing to have one actor play two roles in the same film—and appearing in the same scene as two different characters. Today, technology has made this perfectly possible and movie goers are no more wowed by such techniques. But in 'Legend' Tom Hardy's two watchable and somewhat distinct characters may confuse you into believing, these characters are being played by two different people—just that there is good facial resemblance. As expected when a film is based on a true story, the critics have written out far disconnecting reviews—with the movie receiving as much as 5 stars from some reputable film critics and as low as 2 stars from others. I am yet to see a star but the varying in the praise points to the fact that, these critics paid attention to different elements of the film. The film comes off as a caricature and well below our understanding of what gangsters are capable of doing; their antics and mode of operation. But considering the fact that the film was set in the 1950s, the huge disparity in the brutality of those tagged gangsters was inevitable. Tom Hardy successfully plays Ronnie and Reggie Kray—East End London based twins who rose on the back of violence and intimidation to earn enviable street credibility and huge bank balances in the 1950s and 1960s. Together with their gang-The Firm, the Krays were involved in armed robberies, arson, protection rackets, assaults, and the murders of Jack “The Hat” McVitie and George Cornell—the latter activities ended their freedom on the street and the former fetched them a hell lot of money and control.(...) © Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri, Editor for Ghanacelebrities.com, 2015. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us Feed enhanced by Better Feed from Ozh |

| Serena Williams Knocked Out Of The US Open By Italian Roberta Vinci Posted: 12 Sep 2015 02:41 AM PDT Serena Williams had done it all this year. She had won in Melbourne, in Roland Garros, and in Wimbledon. She was two games away from matching Steffi Graff's 1988 calendar grand slam. But Italian world no. 43 Roberta Vinci had other ideas. The 32 year old stopped Serena right in her tracks, winning their Friday night semi final 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 to put the brakes on Serena's rampaging year.(...) © godwin1 for Ghanacelebrities.com, 2015. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us Feed enhanced by Better Feed from Ozh |

| ‘Every Educated Gay Rights Advocate in Ghana is Gay’ Says Douche Bag Afia Schwarzenegger Posted: 11 Sep 2015 09:59 PM PDT I have been busy writing my Masters' degree's thesis and at the same time working on the re-launch of BrutallyUncensored.Com so I've not had time to clap back at the ignorance of certain people we've cheaply branded celebrities—but today, I've the weekend free so I can take that hit and also take the opportunity to educate the many dim-witted Ghanaians parading ignorant views on social media. I am one of the many people who seriously think a basic random test must be taken anytime a person decides to logon social media—this way; we would be spared Afia Schwarzenegger and those who have refused to learn on instagram and facebook. Let's say, before you login instagram, random questions like; in Physics, what does F=MA mean is asked—and I bet you with even Google at our reach—inherent dumb people like Afia Schwarzenegger wouldn't be able to logon. In the last few weeks, I've had several people send me screenshots of Afia Schwarzenegger taking the usual hit at me on social media—perhaps, she is still offended by the fact that my blog-GhanaCelebrities.Com exposed the truth; that she was sleeping with someone's husband, a man married with kids and was also living in his house while proudly parading herself as a married woman to Ghanaians. That must have hurt—the national embarrassment was EPIC and this was also followed by her disgraceful public arrest which had the lunatic weed smoker cry out loud. And of course, we reported that too so I perfectly understand her need to throw insults at me, the Editor. Let me quickly mention that, I wouldn't even have bothered with Afia Schwarzenegger if it was just the insults—because for almost 9 years that I have championed celebrity blogging in Ghana, I've received it all; Nadia Buari, Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, Jim Iyke and literally every celebrity we've exposed or somewhat published an unfavourable article about has thrown insults my way. I am used to it! It's expected and sometimes for the purpose of Entertainment, I pull in a shady reply to get the conversation going. However, this time, the insults are clothed in what has become the daily ignorant food of Ghanaians—which is, every person who is intelligent enough to openly advocate for Gay rights with plausible arguments is somehow Gay.(...) © Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri, Editor for Ghanacelebrities.com, 2015. | Permalink | 2 comments | Add to del.icio.us Feed enhanced by Better Feed from Ozh |
