Lawyers for Malaysia's jailed opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim says they will appeal the government's rejection of a petition seeking a royal pardon. A pardons board said Anwar's sentence would be maintained but gave no explanation for the decision. Latheefa Koya, one of Anwar's lawyers, said they would be appealing the rejection.
