Netanyahu's Likud party snatches a surprise victory after coming back from behind in Israeli elections. Full Story: By all accounts Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Likud party were heading for a fall in Israel's elections. On Wednesday the picture was a complete turnaround as he scooped a fourth term in office. A four-day pre-election blitz with a clear hard shift to the right appears to have helped shore up his own party support and win over right-wing and nationalist parties.
