| Tanglewood Astronomy Club Planets around other stars
Friday February 8 or Saturday February 9 (for best observational weather)
6:30pm-8:00pm Come join us for a special guest talk by Ben Placek, University of Albany, about Exoplanets – planets around other stars. He will give a current overview of the field – how expoplanets are detected and what we might expect in future research. Afterwards we will go outside and observe the stars and Jupiter, weather permitting. Please RSVP ONLINE and don't forget your email address, since we will pick either the Friday or the Saturday depending on the 24 to 48 hour cloud forecast and notify by email, facebook, and our website.

KIDS NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM Valentine's Day February 14, 2013 5:00 - 8:30pm Members Only How would you like to celebrate Valentine's Day and not have to worry about child care? Well you can! Bring the kids to Tanglewood and let us entertain them, for a few hours. We will provide a kid friendly dinner of hot dogs and mac & cheese and offer popcorn for a snack. Your kids will get to have fun with live animals, a night hike, a showing of A Night At The Museum, and more... This event is for children ages 4 and up. $10 per child or $30 per family. Members Only! You must have an active membership to register for this event. Please register and pay online. Pre-registration is a must, no walk-ins. |
