Six Russian tourists were killed and two injured on Friday when their snowmobile lost control and plunged down a steep ski slope in the Italian Alps.
The victims were driving along the Cermis mountain in the Trentino province before they tumbled 100 meters down.
Rescue operations kicked off with 14 men and search dogs, while firefighters and ski lift operators joined later as reinforcements.
The accident happened amidst rocks and dense forest, making it difficult to recover the bodies.
An army helicopter transported the injured to a hospital.
