BREAKING: Peanut exec gets 28 years over salmonella outbreak cited in 9 deaths

  Stewart Parnell was sentenced in Georgia for a salmonella outbreak beginning in January 2009 that is also blamed for hundreds of injuries. He faced a possible life term. His 28-year sentence is still believed to be the most severe punishment ever for a food producer in a foodborne illness case.
