Hundreds of motorbikers waited for hours on a main road in Nepal's earthquake stricken-capital, Kathmandu, on Sunday (May 3) in the hope of receiving free petrol. Last Saturday's (April 25) 7.8 magnitude quake has killed over 7,000 people, affecting millions of people in the country and displaced many from their homes. With the lack of transport options and fuel, many people are unable to escape Kathmandu and reach their families. U.S.-based aid group Fuel Relief Fund said it wanted to help people travel to their loved-ones. "We're going to provide 3,000 litres of fuel here today, five litres to each motorcycle. We feel as though it's the best way to touch as many people as possible, so that even these individuals and their families have the ability to possibly see a loved one, obtain food, water and shelter, and hopefully put a smile on their face," said Fuel Relief Fund chairman Ted Honcharik.
