Public notice: Application of Northwest Shingle Recyclers, LLC to operate an asphalt roofing shingle recovery facility

Northwest Shingle Recyclers, LLC (NSR) has submitted an application for a Metro solid waste facility license to operate a material recovery facility for roofing waste. If approved, NSR's license would allow the facility to accept and sort only roofing debris, such as composition roofing shingles, felt paper, nails, wood, and metal for the purpose of recovering recyclable materials.


Recycle your Christmas tree

The beauty and scent of a Christmas tree is a special part of the season for many. But eventually that tree comes down. Then what? It's easy to recycle your Christmas tree at the curb with your yard debris or through a local nonprofit. Most trees are turned into wood chips, compost or fuel.
