At least, that's what it may have seemed like Thursday afternoon, as dozens - if not hundreds - of cyclists sped through downtown Beloit and bike enthusiasts sat on the sidelines to watch and cheer.  A wave of purple-clad cancer survivors were cheered on by supporters at the Beloit Relay for Life fundraiser at Edwards Ice Arena on Friday evening.
Comprised of men and women of all ages, the group's members clapped, shared hugs and even shed a few tears as they took their victory lap around the track. It was one lap among many in the all-night fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Read More |
