| The trial for supposed Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht began Thursday, with the 29-year-old facing life in prison if he is convicted of money laundering, drug trafficking, and a litany of other charges. Government prosecutors assert Ulbricht ran and profited from the "Silk Road" website, which allowed users to buy and sell drugs, assassination services, weapons and other illegal items, but some believe their evidence will not stand up to scrutiny and was obtained via unconstitutional means.
